'Life's too short, DON'T have an affair'

April 14th 2010 08:29

Meet Noel Biderman. He is known as the 'King of Infidelity' but to me, he is just a filthy pig.

Biderman is the founder of a website called ashleymadison.com. A site which encourages people who are married or in a relationship to have affairs. It's motto is Life is short, have an affair. It lists men and women who are looking for a bit of fun on the side, someone to give them some kind of sexual thrill and fill a hole that their partner isn't. I see it as increasing the members chances of bringing home an STI to their loyal ‘other’ (how devastating a discovery) or increasing the rate of dismemberment or parentless children. Biderman is a sick and twisted to have started a website with the potential to hurt thousands of people, but as if he and his heavy wallet give a shit.

This time 'business' and money making has gone too far. There are some choices consumers shouldn’t be given and this is one of them. I wouldn't be surprised if Biderman came up with this idea after burning a bible, sleeping with his best mates wife and stealing from pensioners as he has no morals, no ethical standards and i don't know how he sleeps at night. I also don't know how his wife sleeps next to him.

Unfortunately the website, ashleymadison.com has now hit our shores. 40 thousand Australians have joined the agency so far apparently, and it hasn’t even been properly launched. Biderman says Australia is shaping up to be the most disloyal in the world. Be prepared to see your partner slugged with advertisements for this cheating website on their way home from work, a constant message that they are wasting their ‘short life’ with one person. Like it wasn’t already easy enough to cheat, with communication so advanced in today’s age. Noel has taken it one step further, now, you can find participants who are willing to keep it all hush hush. But there's a twist. Maybe I can go on the website and find a nice family to rip apart, or blackmail my ‘lover’ into giving me cash or I’ll tell his wife about our affair. Not a bad idea actually.

Biderman argues there are many people unhappy with their love lives and he is giving them an option to feel alive again, whether it’s a woman who wants to rekindle a romantic feeling they have been missing, or a man who wants a different ‘flavour’ his website apparently ‘helps’ people. Biderman himself says men join ultimately for sex, so you can throw the romantic idea out the window ladies.

He is not just providing an option for those who aren’t satisfied in their relationships, he is encouraging people to cheat. Simple messages like the website’s slogan: Life is short, have an affair are simply immoral. He is making gains out of causing suffering. Giving options to people like this makes people make stupid decisions that they wouldn’t normally do.

The other argument I guess is, is it really Noel Biderman’s fault or is it society? Would the ashleymadison website cause people to cheat, or would the same people cheat anyway even if it wasn’t there? Does he lure and create new cheaters via his existence? I think he does, and be warned, curiosity killed the cat.

Let's change this slogan to, Life's too short, DON'T have an affair or you will end up a lonely person who let go of a loving wife and happy children for one moments pleasure. Is it really worth it?

Biderman is married with two children. I wonder what his wife thinks. How would you feel if your partner was the face of infidelity?

I think it's a pretty sick attempt at fame and fortune. I'm anti-marriage, simply because I consider it old fashioned and an unnecessary waste of money, but that's not to say I'm anti-monogamy. People get hurt when cheating takes place, and that's the bottom line for me.

"Would the ashleymadison website cause people to cheat, or would the same people cheat anyway even if it wasn’t there?"

It's hard to say, though I think having such slogans as "Life's too short, have an affair" could certainly encourage the weak-minded to fall prey to such a philosophy.

Scary that 40,000 Aussies have already signed up... although it is a convenient way to catch a cheating partner!

I signed up (for curiosity of course!) and 'attached' men keep sending me half nude photos of them in g-strings! It's a funny world we live in.

Just WOW. Isn't being the "King of Infidelity" kind of like being the "King of the shit heap"? What a total and complete loser. I am absolutely baffled why he didn't just say "Life's too short to be with one person, stay single and screw anyone you can" with 'can' being the operative word. Unfortunately, most men find it unbelievably hard to get laid when they are single, but there are always plenty of women with self esteem low enough to go after married men, so they oddly enough get more action with the ring. And thus, we have our above mentioned pig. Look at him, seriously. If he was single (and no money-because now money helps him) he would be really acquainted with Rosie and her 5 friends.
